The institute is 71 feet tall and has 8 columns which represent the eight limbs of ashtanga yoga – yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana and Samadhi. Props such as wooden gadgets, belts, ropes are used by students to achieve perfection in asanas. The Iyengar yoga is designed to integrate the body, mind and soul. The institute lays special emphasis on symmetry and alignment as well as on proper breathing and meditation.
