Osho ashram was started by the Osho in the year 1974 and is located in the residential area of Koregaon Park Pune over an area of 40 acres. The resort offers Osho active meditations techniques such as Osho dynamic meditation, Osho kundalini meditation, Osho Nataraj meditation, Osho nadabrahma meditation, Osho mandala meditation, Osho Gourishankar meditation, Osho whirling meditation, and gibberish and let-go. These techniques are designed to reduce stress and strain from the body. The resort offers various facilities like café, swimming pool, table tennis, volley ball court and the gym.

Osho was an Indian mystic and spiritual teacher. His real name was "Rajneesh" Chandra Mohan Jain. He came into limelight because of his teachings on spiritual sex. His open attitude towards sexualism earned him the sobriquet "sex guru" in the Indian and later the international press. By the time it was established, Osho's popularity had grown in leaps and bounds. People from all over the world have developed avid interest in his teachings so they started coming to the Osho Ashram in huge numbers.

Accommodation at Osho ashram:

The resort includes guest house with a boutique-hotel feel. The rooms of Osho guest house are simply designed. All the rooms of the guest house include Air conditioner, cooled marble lobby, minimalist scandanavian design furniture and coffee-table books and modern elevators and hallways. Although the rooms are somewhat small but are exceptionally clean, sound-proofed and insulated, with luxurious linens on a top quality bed. No television is present in the ashram to ensure you get away from the drone of daily reality while staying at the Osho. All the rooms of the guesthouse has attached bathroom that are wonderful and clean. The staff at the guesthouse is excellent, friendly, helpful and professional.

The best thing about the Osho ashram is that it is open all days all through the year. You can visit the ashram at any day and at anytime. You can also avail the accommodation facilities from the nearby hotels which range from the ordinary to the deluxe. Guests at the ashram are bound to undergo AIDS test in the communes’ testing center. An imposing park known as Osho Teerth is located near the commune center. The park offers several facilities like swimming lagoon, rock gardens, decorated wooden pathways, and magnificent artificial waterfalls.

Dining at Osho ashram:

Zorba the Buddha is the name of one of two very good vegetarian places inside the Osho ashram. This restaurant has tables placed in a nice patio area poolside. Another good vegetarian restaurant at the ashram is Meera. The water at this restaurant is tested in the commune’s own microbiology laboratory. For sweet and snack you can visit Plaza café in the ashram. Wine is permitted in the ashram but smoking is permitted in special zones. Meat is strictly prohibited in the ashram.
