Labiaplasty
Labiaplasty is a plastic surgery procedure. Labiaplasty is also known as labioplasty. Labiaplasty is a procedure which involves the labia majora and the labia minora which are the external folds of the skin which surrounds the vulva.

During the procedure of labiaplasty the elongated labium is reduced. Labiaplasty is apart of vaginoplasty. Labiaplasty mostly deals with the feel or the appearance of the outer lips of the vagina. Care required after labiaplasty surgery-
- Labiaplasty is performed with soluble sutures, which dissolve on their own. Labiaplasty causes scars which heal after sometime.
- One should avoid sexual intercourse for the first month, post surgery. Other activities can be carried on every other day.
- Since it maybe hard to go to the toilet, it would be suitable to wear a sanitary pad and wash the area carefully until healed. One should remain gentle with the area and maintain hygiene to keep away from infection.
