Mostly, all nebulizers use oxygen or compressed air or in some cases ultrasonic power to break medical solutions into small aerosol droplets or mist for its direct inhalation from the mouthpiece of the nebulizer.
When one uses these nebulizers for inhalation therapy, the main advantage of this is the medicine to be administered straight to the lungs.
As discussed before, there are various types of nebulizers which one can use to treat asthma attack or its episode.

- Only important thing is that the child should be taught to take long slow breaths, so that the mist is carried down the airway and into their lungs.
- This type of nebulizer is specifically used for children because it is needed to ensure that the medicine in mist form should directly go into the child's mouth.
- By using this nebulizer, it is noted that maximum amount of medication will be able to go through the lungs.
