It is very important to know about the crucial contents of nebulizers. All nebulizers contain air compressor, nebulizer cup, mask or mouthpiece and also clean eye droppers or measuring devices in the kit.
At the time of its use, place the air compressor of the nebulizer on a very strong surface. This surface should easily balance its weight. After this, plug the cord present in the compressor into the well grounded three prong electrical outlet.
Before starting any process, do not forget to wash your hands properly with soap and warm water. Make it completely air dry before touching the instruments.
During the treatment process, carefully measure the medicine prescribed by your physician. Do not forget to use clean measuring device present in the kit for measurement of medicine.
Once the measurement is finished, open the nebulizer by removing the nebulizer cap. After this, slowly place the measured medicine in to the bottom of the nebulizer cup.
Once this step is carried out, gradually attach the top portion of the nebulizer cup and connect the face mask available in the kit to that cup. Now connect the tubing to both the compressor and the nebulizer cup.
Now this instrument is ready for use. Turn ON the compressor. You will see that slowly a light mist will come from the back of the tube.
So as to properly use of this treatment, sit in a straight chair. Use the mask on your face, so as to take mist directly into the lungs.
It is very important that one should use the mask properly, so as to administer the medicine properly. Use the mouth piece in between the teeth and seal it slowly with lips around it.
Take very slow and deep breaths and sometimes hold the breath for two to three seconds and then breathe out. It will help the medication to settle into the airways.
In this way, you can continue this treatment and settle the medication in the lungs.
After completion of this treatment, strictly turn the compressor off
